The frame is so strong that a heavy man can stand on top of the case without crushing it, while the lightweight nature of aluminum keeps the case ultra-light, especially compared to heavy shipping cases.Have the confidence that your camera and equipment will be protected and in Shoot-Ready® condition for all your field-productions.The exterior of the CAR-2CAMX is made from durable abrasion-resistant 1000-denier Cordura® nylon that’s been treated with a protective urethane waterproof coating (DWR). The case-body is constructed around an aluminum frame that is structured to withstand maximum weight-loads. Around the frame is 1¾-inch foam-padding and soft Veltex® material, which combined minimize impact and prevent scratches and dents on your equipment.The bottom of the case is reinforced with 8.0mm hollow core plastic and an extra layer of foam. The exterior bottom is lined with a layer of anti-skid material that’s easy to clean and provides an extra level of protection against water, dirt and grime.The main compartment is easily accessible using the CAR-2CAMX’s Quick-Zip™ dual-zipper opening. Quickly open the padded lid and gain unobstructed access to your camera and equipment. Our expert sewing team installs "reversed" zipper-facings to prevent snagging and extend life of the zippers.High-quality, bonded thread is used and double-seamed in areas that typically support more weight or are susceptible to additional wear and tear. All thread-ends are burned to prevent loose threads or running on seams.Genuine suede is used to provide extra comfort and durability to the carrying handles and shoulder strap. The removable strap has thick steel clasps that clip to the CAR-2CAMX’s strong, nickel-plated steel rings.
